The Toothed Whale
The toothed whale has a unique appearance with its huge head at squared profile. This huge head contains a special oil called "spermaceti" whose density varies depending on the temperature, regulated by the blood. This permits the toothed whale to adjust its buoyancy during divings. /p>
Its dorsal fin is not marked much and followed by a succession of 4 to 8 humps. Its color goes from dark grey to brown. The toothed whales arrive in our area in August and they leave in October.
